Pubs across our neighbouring cities will be opening their doors on Sunday to St. Patrick’s Day for festivities, but for those who would like to keep it more low-key, there are abundant events to attend across the neighbouring cities during the weekend-long celebrations.
Additionally our cities have amped up their support, for instance, the University of Guelph is offering a campus alcohol recovery room over the weekend. The goal of the room is to help reduce any potential strain on the local hospital. The City of Waterloo, and the Waterloo Regional Police Service (WRPS) are preparing for massive gatherings that often spill into city streets by having an operational plan to keep celebrations joyous and merry.
