How do you find that home within a price range you can afford?
Once you are pre-approved, it will be important to look at homes in your price range, consider the current real estate market and trust your Realtor ®. Make sure you arrange to get immediate alerts for newly listed homes that meet your criteria; so you can jump on each new opportunity before other buyers learn of the listing.
Your Realtor® will ask you to make a “wish list” of everything you may want in your next home; This list might have 20, 30, or 40 items on it, but that’s okay. Just like grocery shopping, you may not always find everything on your list.
So, what do you do now?
When you really think about it, your ideal home probably comes down to 3 or 4 features that you must have. Let’s look at your list again, are there one or two features you can do without? For example, can you settle for a smaller kitchen assuming the property has everything else you want? It may not have a garage but can you build one later? The basement isn’t finished right now; does it have to be?
As you take the time to view the listings, remember those 3 most important features, keep an open mind and I am sure you will find your perfect home…………. Maybe even tomorrow!
The good news is, in most cases, you should be able to find and buy a great home, with most — if not all of the features you want.
